Beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was great. Location near the station and 3 convenience stores. Quiet. Modern. Clean. The shower is the most powerful I have ever used in a hotel. Extremely well utilized space. Could fit us family of 5 grown ups perfectly, and even with a small seating area for our nightly suppers.

It is slightly dusty. The only reason why -1 point.

Great family hotel in a great location - we loved Ueno and would stay again!

We loved our stay at Minn. We had 3 young kids, 6 4 and 1. The room was typically small as is Japanese hotels, but it still gave the kids enough room to stretch their legs and enjoy the space. We loved the bunk beds - it worked perfect for our family.

Space is very tight if taking a pram into the room as the toilet/shower is right next to the main entrance, but otherwise we managed it fine.

Good location. Hotel is clean and looks new. Walking distance to bar & restaurants.. and even shopping area. Nothing to complain will consider to book this hotel again if we visit Tokyo next time!

What was the highlight of Minn Ueno

Recommend in Ueno area!

- There is an additional process for check-in, but the hotel provides enough information for us earlier. (which you can do it before date of travelling - and it will leave you few step at the hotel). The instruction at the front is easy to follow and make no problem to us at all. - Room is exactly as shown in booking. It is clean and well prepared. Bed is comfy (even sofa bed is comfy as well). Shower and toilet are clean and perfect! Kitchen is well equipped for you to cook (we only use for easy breakfast). Location is okay - walkable distance from Ueno Station (approx. 10-15 mins). Many restaurants, cafes and shops. What we like most is the neighbourhood. It is so quiet and not busy at all.

There is no breakfast, but as the location is in Ueno, you will find no problem at all.

Wonderful

Great location and it was super quiet, too! It was very handy to the Ueno train station and metro stations. We could walk to the Ueno park. It also had a Starbucks around the corner for my morning coffee, and a 7-11 nearby for delicious sandwiches! The hotel had clean rooms with comfortable beds! And it had a great hot and steamy closed shower, too!

What was the highlight of Minn Ueno

Hidden gem in Ueno

The apartment was well sized as we were a group of 4 adults (incl grandparents) and 2 young kids (6 and 3). We had 2 rooms (sliding door partitions) and the kids slept on the sofa. The room configuration worked for us. There was also space for a dining table, as well as a small dressing table next to the balcony. As you enter the room there are 2 closets which can be used to store jackets and also your suitcases. The beds and pillows were very comfortable so we were pleasantly surprised. The laundry facilities were great - washing machine costs 300yen and includes detergent. Dryer is 100yen for 30 min (you'd most likely need at least 1h). While it was well used by the other guests, we were able to find a spare machine quite easily (busy in the evenings). Location was great as it was a short walk to the JR station as well as other subway lines. Ueno is a great location as a base for Disneyland (if not staying at the resort), Akihabara (about 1.5km walk) and Asakusa (15 to 20 min on subway). Downside is that Shibuya and Shinjuku are about 30 min away on JR live but we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Ueno was much quieter with plenty of shops and food if you didn't want to venture out. Also very close to Lawson which is around the corner as well as 7-11 not far from it as well.

Luggage storage facilities are available but be prepared to get in early or the room could be full by the time you get there. Also note that reception isn't always staffed so if the room is full, the door isn't shut and is accessible by anyone. Would have loved a bath in the bathroom.
